GOLDIE FERN NICHOLS GALLOWAY

Ladoga -- Mrs. Goldie Fern Galloway, 77 died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been seriously ill five days. For the last four years she had been a housekeeper in the Frank Radford home here. Prior to that she lived at Carpentersville. A native of Whitesville, she was a daughter of Joe and Frances Grissom Nichols and was born March 15, 1889. She married Charles Galloway April 2, 1916 at the Methodist parsonage at Mace. He died 18 years ago. Mrs. Galloway was a member of the Mace Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard Watson; a sister, Mrs. Charles Lith; 3 grandchildren, a great grandchild and five nephews. Preceding her in death besides the husband were three brothers, including Nelson Nichols who died March 16. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gephart Funeral Home here, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. Don Marshall of the Ladoga Christian Church will officiate and burial will be in Mace Knights of Pythias Cemetery. - kbz
